Charité receives award

As part of an anniversary event marking the second anniversary of the "Initiative Transparente Tierversuche" Charité has been awarded the seal of "Exemplary Communications of Animal Research”.
In its statement, the initiative writes: "Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin does exemplary work in the area of public relations on animal experiments. Bundled at Charité 3R, it is committed to promoting the 3R principle in the areas of research, education and communication. In addition to a very detailed and intuitive website on animal experimentation at Charité, there are numerous other measures. These include proactive press briefings, actions in the Berlin area, early publication and communication about animal experimentation statistics, and support for far-reaching actions such as EARA's Be Open About Animal Research Day (#BOARD23) 2023."
In her laudation, Dr. Laura Berg, scientific officer of the information initiative "Tierversuche verstehen" particularly highlighted the video about the Charité's laboratory animal husbandry, which talks openly and transparently about the structure of animal husbandry, the handling of laboratory animals, and the different animal species. She said, "Through the combination of proactive public relations and detailed and transparent information on the website, Charité is a role model for holistic communication about animal experimentation."
The Charité 3R team was delighted to receive the recognition and would like to sincerely thank all Charité employees who supported here!
