Members of GV-SOLAS can apply for research funding with a maximum funding amount of max. €25,000 each year. The GV-SOLAS offer to support research projects would like to make a contribution so that ideas for deepening the knowledge of experimental animals can be implemented in a concrete project.
Research funding by the GV SOLAS
Well-founded specialist knowledge of laboratory animals forms the basis for our day-to-day work. Breeding and husbandry, planning and experiments, as well as education, training and further education can only be optimally implemented if we constantly deepen and expand our knowledge of laboratory animals.
Due to the large number of species, there are many starting points. Every colleague knows the situation of encountering a situation in day-to-day operations that has not been satisfactorily clarified and that is worth investigating.
However, as pure service facilities within the scientific institutions, many animal facilities do not have the financial means to implement research projects involving laboratory animals.
The GV-SOLAS offer to support research projects would like to contribute to how ideas for deepening the knowledge of experimental animals can be implemented in a concrete project.
Requirements
- The applicant must be a member of GV-SOLAS.
- The maximum funding amount is €25,000 and is awarded every year.
- The funding should preferably represent start-up financing. The further financing of the projects by other donors (e.g. DFG) is desired.
- The experimental project should be planned in such a way that the work can be completed within 2 years.
