Useful resources

A major goal of EPIC is to make better, more efficient use of the data generated in preclinical experiments in order to reduce the number of experiments to be performed ("Reduce" in 3R). This requires structured, standardized data collection and management.

Other Charité structures

The Charité provides various services in the area of study planning, study implementation and data management, which are systematically used by EPIC.

Virtual Research Environment (VRE)

The VRE will be the central platform for storing primary and secondary data of participating EPIC labs (data warehouse).

AMBIO

The validation of noninvasive imaging methods using microscopy on tissue sections is still the gold standard in most research areas. The Charité Core Facility Advanced Medical Bioimaging (AMBIO) offers excellent microscopy infrastructure for all researchers.

Biometry

The full 3R value of imaging technology can only be explored with the appropriate study design. The Institute of Biometry and Clinical Epidemiology at the Charité provides support to preclinical researchers.
