Participating labs and imaging modalities

At Charité and MDC, various research groups have built up state-of-the-art research laboratories and internationally recognized expertise in the field of preclinical imaging, which they make available as core facilities to other research groups. EPIC aims to network these core facilities as well as other imaging modality devices to facilitate their use by other researchers, and to enable consistent implementation of 3R approaches.

You are here:

CT, MRI, PET, SPECT, Optical Imaging, Ultrasonography, Microscopy …

The number and range of imaging methods in preclinical research is nowadays comparable to the clinical field. Each method has its specific strengths and areas of application. For research groups with a non-imaging focus it is often difficult to recognize the possibilities of imaging technologies for their own research, to find and select the appropriate methods, and to design the appropriate experiments. EPIC aims to provide a platform for all preclinical imaging modalities at the Charité and MDC, with an emphasis on developing standardized protocols for multimodal imaging. The following register lists all imaging laboratories currently participating in EPIC.

Charité Berlin Experimental Radionuclide Imaging Center (BERIC)
